Genever Cocktail: The Dutch Honey

If you are a lover of classic cocktails, but still haven’t had a proper drink with Genever, the forefather of modern Gin, then you are sorely missing out. Because it mixes so well with herbal flavors, it makes the perfect dance partner for some of my favorite European liqueurs, such as the recipe below.

THE DUTCH HONEY
2oz Old Duff Genever
.75oz Lemon
.5oz Yellow Chartreuse
.5oz Honey Syrup
1 dash Aromatic Bitters

METHOD: Shake
GLASSWARE: Coupe
GARNISH: Lemon Twist
