Irish Tropical: Birdman Cocktail

This recipe incorporates a bit of Sexton Irish Whiskey in a formate that would typically leans towards rum, which makes it s little more intriguing from the get go. To be honest, it is surprising that you don’t see more Irish Whiskey in tropical drinks, as the flavors of butterscotch & nutty fruit lend themselves so well towards the traditional flavors that you see in tiki drinks. When you are creating new cocktails, its important to keep in mind that just because a flavor combo isn’t common that doesn’t mean that it will not create a tasty beverage. With that said, what are some of your favorite cocktails to mix with Irish Whiskey?

BIRDMAN COCKTAIL
2oz Irish Whiskey
.75oz Lime
.75oz Grapefruit
.5oz Falernum
.5oz Honey Syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters

METHOD: Pebble Ice or Crushed Ice
GLASSWARE: Collins or Tiki Mug
GARNISH: Mint Sprig
