Market Cocktails: Bittersweet Rye Cocktail

Bartender At Large - Covid Home Edition-314.jpg

Since we know that a lot of folks these days are stuck at home & on a budget, we would feel like total assholes sharing difficult to make cocktails with expensive & hard to find ingredients. So, we decided to highlight a series of recipes here that we call Market Cocktails, which showcases inventive & delicious cocktails that feature only products that you could get at your local grocery store, bottleshop or bodega. It is incredible how many amazing recipes there are that feature only the simplest of ingredients, yet still manage to create wildly complex flavors. Next up on the agenda is drink called the Pine Street Sour, a bitter & refreshing whiskey cocktail, created by Portland bartender, Aaron Zieske. It combines fresh grapefruit with the flavors of pineapple & rye whiskey in order to create a drink with loads of depth, yet dangerously easy to crush. And just like every single drink in our Market Cocktails series, we are betting that you already have everything you need to make it your home bar right now.
