Mixing Cocktails w/ Indian Yogurt
Of all the cocktails that I came up with for the menu at my latest project, Raised by Wolves, one of my favorite has got to be the Hideaway Honey. It is a mixture of aged Aquavit, Chartreuse and Indian yogurt that I find oddly strange, yet also very familiar & refreshing. Here is the recipe if you would like to try it out. The secret to why it works is the Indian yogurt, which has plenty of mouthfeel and flavor, but not quite as sour & thick as conventional yogurt.
HIDEAWAY HONEY
1.5oz Aged Aquavit
.75oz Lemon
.5oz Yellow Chartreuse
.5oz Honey Syrup
.5oz Indian Yogurt
METHOD: Shake & Top w/ Soda
GLASSWARE: Collins
